Duck Dynasty star praises power of prayer as Phil Robertson shows health improvement

His sons, Al and Jase, recently discussed their father’s health on the “Relatable” podcast with Allie Beth Stuckey, emphasizing the impact of community prayers on his well-being.

Jase Robertson expressed a deep belief in the power of prayer, noting that after the family made Phil’s condition public, there seemed to be a noticeable lift in his spirit. He recalled a moment when he took his son to visit his grandfather, who hadn’t seen Phil since his health began to decline. “This is the best I’ve seen him in months,” Jase told his son, reflecting on the unexpectedly rosy state of his father during the visit.

In what seemed like a dire situation, with Jase worried that Phil had only days left, he was pleasantly surprised by the progress since they opened up about his health struggles. “I just chalked it up to answered prayer,” Jase stated, highlighting both his father’s physical condition and his newfound sense of peace.

Al Robertson, the older brother, offered a more tempered view of Phil’s health, describing it as fluctuating “day-to-day.” He noted that there are moments where Phil is stronger mentally and physically, but also emphasized the ongoing challenges. Recently, the family shared that Phil is also contending with a serious blood disease that has led to multiple health issues, including back fractures.

Since their rise to fame with “Duck Dynasty,” which premiered over a decade ago showcasing their duck hunting empire intertwined with their Christian faith, the Robertsons have retained a prominent status in both entertainment and their community. Although the series wrapped up in 2017, a new chapter awaits as a reboot titled “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” is set to debut later this year.
